QFC links with Luxembourg

Qatar Financial Centre Authority and Luxembourg for Finance, the agency for the development of Luxembourg as a financial centre, held a joint seminar to explore how further to advance their partnership for financial services.
The seminar was the first step after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between QFC Authority and Luxembourg for Finance last year, to promote cooperation between the two countries in financial services.

Guernsey remains the leader in non-UK listings

Guernsey remains home to more non-UK entities listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) than any other jurisdiction globally, according to figures from the market authority.
LSE data shows that at the end of December 2011 there were 108 Guernsey- incorporated entities listed on either the Main Market, the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), the Specialist Fund Market (SFM) or as ‘Trading Only’.
This is comfortably more than the major economic powers of the US (47), Russia (33), India (31), Australia (26), South Africa (11), Germany (7), China (5) and France (4).
