Fund Manager Migration Research
IFI has completed a major research survey on fund manager attitudes to migration and fund redomiciliation.
Over three quarters of the alternative fund managers interviewed expect that the structure of the offshore fund industry will be broadly different in three years time from its current state. This research study explores where managers believe the changes will occur.
Alternative fund management migration is a growing issue in London. Managers interviewed listed 11 locations that they might consider moving to and/or opening an office in.
What the drivers are for manager relocation and/or opening additional offices is covered in this research study. Managers obviously domicile their funds in locations that are acceptable to their investors. As a result this research study includes the views of institutional and high net worth investors on fund domiciliation.
The majority of interviewees believe that if the current trend of manager migration from the UK continues it will lead to a bifurcation - or polarisation - of the alternative fund industry.

Transfer Agency Research Study
We are running a number of research projects and live online events via Fund-Technology.com. The purpose of these projects is to provide the fund industry with detailed information on the systems that are on the market in the Transfer Agency area.
We are therefore producing a Buyer's Guide on the Reporting systems available to the European fund industry. It will largely be based upon research that we are conducting with buyers of reporting systems across Europe. Please see the attached outline proposal for this project.
